STATEHOUSE (April 15, 2025) – "The 'Make Indiana Healthy Again' movement is a major step in the right direction to improve Hoosiers' overall health and wellness.
"Much of my recent work in the Senate aligns with Gov. Braun's health initiatives. This year, I offered an amendment to House Bill 1474 that would ensure SNAP benefits are being used to buy nutritional products that benefit and nourish our bodies rather than being used to buy junk food.
"I was also proud to author Senate Concurrent Resolution 22 this year, which was based upon Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s bold efforts to improve our nation's health and well-being through the 'Make America Healthy Again' movement.
"I am proud to support Gov. Braun's 'Make Indiana Healthy Again' initiative, and I look forward to seeing the progress our state will make toward leading healthier lives through these efforts."
