STATEHOUSE (Feb. 25, 2025) – State Sen. Daryl Schmitt (R-Jasper) welcomed Dubois Intermediate School student Amelia Grothouse and Heritage Hills Middle School student Chase Blubaum to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
"The Senate Page Program introduces a greater meaning to my role as a new State Senator," Schmitt said. "This unique opportunity to interact with our Hoosier youth has been very rewarding, and I look forward to meeting more students as the session progresses."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
