Sen. Koch welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 28, 2025) – State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) welcomed the following students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January and February.

• Elizabeth Bartlett, from Bedford, is a homeschooled student
• Marissa Blais, from Campbellsburg, attends Mitchell High School
• Eulalia Dieguez, from Seymour, attends Seymour High School
• Faith Edwards, from Campbellsburg, attends Orleans High School
• Giselle Guzman, from Seymour, attends Seymour High School
• Emery Shetler, from Mitchell, attends Mitchell Junior High School
• Laura Wires, from Bedford, attends Bedford North Lawrence High School
• Wyatt Wires, from Bedford, attends Lincoln Elementary School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I always enjoy when students from the local community come to serve as Senate pages in the Statehouse," Koch said. "The page program allows students to learn more about their government and see it in action which is a unique experience."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
