STATEHOUSE (Feb. 25, 2025) – State Sen. Dan Dernulc (R-Highland) welcomed St. John residents Nicholas Aurelio and Jackson Guzzo to the Statehouse who served as senate pages in January.
Aurelio, who attends Lake Central High School, and Guzzo, who attends Marian Catholic High School, spent a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
"I am so grateful for the students from Senate District 1 who come all the way down and visit Indianapolis," Dernulc said. "It is wonderful to see these young Hoosiers learning so much about our state government and being a part of the legislative process."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
