State Sen. Randy Maxwell (R- Guilford) made the following statement today regarding Lawrenceburg native Mason Parris heading to the Paris Olympics:
STATEHOUSE (April 22, 2024) – “I was proud to see Lawrenceburg native and wrestler Mason Parris earn a spot on Team USA in the Paris Olympics.
"Mason is a great athlete. He has had a successful career at the University of Michigan, and in February won multiple gold medals at the Pan-American Wrestling Championship. Having known him since he was a kid, I can say he represents his alma mater and his hometown well.
"Mason’s success is a huge accomplishment for Lawrenceburg High School and Southeast Indiana as a whole, and I look forward to cheering for him this summer and wish him the best of luck.”

which includes Dearborn, Jefferson, Ohio, Scott and Switzerland counties,
and portions of Jennings County.
