Sen. Leising welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April 21, 2025) – State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in March and April.

• Quinn Burdette, from Sunman, attends East Central High School
• Chloe Davis, from Columbus, attends Edinburgh Christian School
• Hadley Davis, from Greensburg, attends Greensburg Junior High School
• Miles Gill, from Greensburg, attends Greensburg Junior High School
• Lucas Harris, from Greensburg, attends Greensburg Junior High School
• Conor Hileman, from Milan, attends Milan Middle School
• Evelyn Kelly, from New Marion, attends South Ripley High School
• David Koch, from Oldenburg, attends Oldenburg Academy
• Olivia Leising, from Oldenburg, attends Oldenburg Academy
• Lillee Spears, from Carthage, attends Knightstown High School
• Amelia Theising, from Sunman, attends East Central Middle School
• Kaitlyn VorderLandwehr, from Versailles, attends South Ripley High School
• Grant VorderLandwehr, from Versailles, attends South Ripley Junior High School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"Serving as a Senate page is a great way for students to witness how our state government works," Leising said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to meet local students, and I encourage those with an interest in government to register as a page next session."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
