STATEHOUSE (Aug. 15, 2024) — Wabash Valley-based Glas-Col, LLC was honored with the Governor's Half Century Award at the Statehouse today, said State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute).
Glas-Col was founded in 1939 to produce devices for heating chemicals to fulfill a need in the chemical research industry.
Over the last 85 years, the company has grown to produce mixing, evaporation and air purification equipment.
"Glas-Col has played an important role in our region's economic success for more than 80 years," Goode said. "I am glad to see the company receive this honor and thank them for their dedication to their employees and the Wabash Valley."
The Governor's Half Century Award is presented to companies that have been in continuous operation in Indiana for 50 to 99 years.
The state also awards the Governor's Century Award to businesses that have operated in Indiana for 100 or more years.
