Dernulc named to Senate committees

STATEHOUSE (Dec. 4, 2024) – State Sen. Dan Dernulc (R-Highland) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve on four committees for the 124th Indiana General Assembly.

Dernulc will serve as a member of the following Senate committees:

  • Environmental Affairs;
  • Local Government;
  • Pensions and Labor; and
  • Public Policy.

"After serving as a senator for a few years, I can attest to the important work conducted in committees, " Dernulc said. "I look forward to serving on these committees, several of which, though they are new assignments for me, are topic areas in which I have real-world experience. With a busy budget session coming up, I am eager to get to work with my fellow committee members and tackle important topics that will help make lives better for Hoosiers."

Committee hearings can be viewed online by visiting iga.in.gov. Legislative calendars, agendas, vote tallies and proposed legislation can also be found on this site.

The 2025 legislative session ceremonially began with Organization Day on Nov. 19. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene for session Jan. 8.
