STATEHOUSE (March 6, 2025) — Communities in Senate District 24 will receive more than $7.3 million to improve roads and bridges through the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program (CCMG), said State Sen. Brett Clark (R-Avon).

The CCMG, established by the Indiana General Assembly in 2016, aims to advance community infrastructure projects, strengthen local transportation networks and improve Indiana’s roads and bridges. Since its enactment, the program has awarded more than $2 billion in state matching funds for local construction projects.

In Senate District 24, the following communities received grants:

  • Amo received $23,912.24;
  • Avon received $1.5 million;
  • Brownsburg received $1,012,170.60;
  • Danville received $318,242.54;
  • Hendricks County received $1.5 million;
  • Plainfield received $1.5 million; and
  • Putnam County received $1,457,989.50.

"The improvement of roads and infrastructure is vital to Senate District 24, making this funding an essential tool to help ensure local roadways and bridges receive the updates they need," Clark said. "I am hopeful that the improvements made will allow our communities to enjoy safer travel and roads."

Through the program, the Indiana Department of Transportation matches up to $1.5 million annually when localities invest in road and bridge repairs. Counties with populations fewer than 50,000 and cities and towns with populations fewer than 10,000 receive a 75%/25% match, while counties with populations greater than 50,000 and cities and towns with populations greater than 10,000 receive a 50%/50% match.
