Cascade High School graduate gains experience at Indiana Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 18, 2025) – Madelynn Coy is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2025 legislative session, said State Sen. Brett Clark (R- Avon).

Coy, a resident of Avon, is the daughter of Jennifer and Ryan Rash. Coy graduated from Cascade High School and is a sophomore at Indiana University studying public policy and management.

"It's refreshing to see young, passionate individuals wanting to work in their government," Clark said. "I want to thank Madelynn for all her hard work and dedication this session."

As a legislative intern, Coy tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.

"I am extremely excited to work alongside Indiana State Senators and help in serving Hoosiers across the state," Coy said.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by April 29.
