Koch legislation targets Williams Dam closure

Date: March 3, 2025

Legislation filed by State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) would prohibit Williams Dam from closure, partial closure, or removal if such action would impact either the provision of water utility service to the public or the supply of water to one or more private water wells. Senate Bill 426, authored by Koch, passed the Senate 46-3 and is now under consideration in the House of Representatives.
