Alexander named to Senate committees

STATEHOUSE (Dec. 5, 2024) – State Sen. Scott Alexander (R-Muncie) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve on four committees for the 124th Indiana General Assembly.

Alexander will serve as a member of the following Senate committees

• Agriculture;
• Judiciary;
• Natural Resources; and
• Pensions and Labor.

"Senate committees allow lawmakers to discuss and develop bills in the early stages of the legislative process," Alexander said. "I look forward to joining my colleagues in these committees and working to ensure the legislation drafted is most beneficial to Hoosiers."

The 2025 legislative session ceremonially began with Organization Day on Nov. 19. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene for session Jan. 8.
