TOMES MEETS WITH BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB: State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville, second to left) meets with representatives Shanna Groeninger (left), Andrew Backes (second to right) and Ken Haynie (right) from the Indiana Alliance of Boys and Girls Club Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The alliance works with legislators to secure state funding that will be distributed throughout the 163 clubs in Indiana. This money helps fund programs to teach students how to be productive, caring and responsible citizens.
"I am glad I was able to speak with the Boys and Girls Club representatives about the important work they are doing for our Hoosier students," Tomes said. "It is always wonderful meeting with advocates for the future leaders of our great state."
