Statement from State Sen. Travis Holdman

State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle) made the following statement today in response to
Gov. Mike Braun's 2025 State of the State address:

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 29, 2025) — "While Indiana maintains one of the lowest property tax burdens in the country, I am glad to see Gov. Braun recognize that Hoosier taxpayers are still feeling the impacts of rising property taxes, and I am proud to be carrying legislation this session to address this issue.

"Senate Bill 1 is our caucus's top priority this year and aims to enact meaningful property tax reform. I have spent many months working closely with the governor and his team, as well as my colleagues in the House, on this piece of legislation and am grateful for their continued support.

"While SB 1 is still in the early stages of the legislative process, I look forward to seeing the property tax relief it will provide for Hoosiers across the state."
