STATEHOUSE (Jan. 31, 2025) – "The news of the collision between a passenger jet and military helicopter is truly tragic.
"Now we have learned that among the 67 people who lost their lives was Asra Hussain, a Carmel native and a 26-year-old graduate of Indiana University. Asra was returning from a work-related trip when this devastating event occurred.
"I cannot begin to fathom the grief and heartbreak that the families and loved ones of the victims are enduring.
"My deepest condolences and prayers go out to the friends and families of all those affected, especially to Hammad Raza, Asra's husband, and her other loved ones in our community and beyond who are grieving this loss."
