Statement from State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco

State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco (R-Indianapolis) made the following statement today in response to Gov. Mike Braun's 2025 State of the State address:

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 29, 2025) – "I was pleased to hear Gov. Braun’s bold agenda that is aimed at delivering real results for Hoosiers, a driving principle for me in legislative work.

"Property taxes were a concern voiced by many, and it is encouraging to see our governor is listening. Gov. Braun's support of Senate Bill 1 is the backing we need to reduce property taxes for Hoosiers.

"Gov. Braun is also in favor of the continuous support of our brave men and women in blue who risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe. Supporting our law enforcement officers is one of my priorities as a legislator.

"As the ranking member on the Senate Committee of Corrections and Criminal Law, I am proud to bring forth, support and sponsor bills dealing with public safety. Law enforcement officers are some of the bravest among us, and I am supportive of the bills that offer them the resources and support they need.

"Gov. Braun noted our strong desire to get results, and I believe that the state of Indiana is strong and the 2025 legislative session has the opportunity to make great changes."
