Statement from State Sen. Andy Zay

State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) made the following statement today in response to
Gov. Mike Braun's 2025 State of the State address:

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 29, 2025) – "It was great to hear Gov. Braun speak about the need to bring full price transparency to health care services in Indiana, and especially his recent initiative in directing our state agencies to address pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), which are causing high drug prices for Hoosiers.

"In step with the governor's efforts to protect Hoosier patients from these large PBMs, I have authored a bill this legislative session that would do exactly that.

"Senate Bill 503 would finally put a stop to the corrupt practices of PBMs by establishing an alternative pharmacy benefit program through the state. In doing this, we would provide better protection to Hoosier patients and potentially save Hoosiers millions of dollars spent on prescription drugs."
