State Sen. Gary Byrne to serve on study committees

STATEHOUSE (June 27, 2024) — State Sen. Gary Byrne (R- Byrneville) will serve as a member of several study committees in preparation for the 2025 legislative session.

Byrne's assignments include:

“Interim study committees give our part-time legislature the ability to study important topics so that when session begins, we are able to save taxpayer time and money by getting right to addressing the issues," Byrne said. "I'm looking forward to serving Hoosiers on these committees and learning more about the topics brought forward to study."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
