STATEHOUSE (Aug. 9, 2023) — State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) was reappointed to the Indiana Public Defender Commission by Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville).
The commission, created by the Indiana General Assembly in 1989, consists of 11 members – including four members from the General Assembly – and meets quarterly to authorize reimbursements to counties and discuss issues related to indigent criminal defense. It administers annual appropriations of $34 million to Indiana counties for public defender services.

Koch serves as ranking member of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and is an attorney with the Koch Law Firm P.C.
