STATEHOUSE (Feb. 11, 2025) – Brooke Ellenberger is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2025 legislative session, said State Sen. Brian Buchanan (R-Lebanon).
Ellenberger, a resident of New Ross, is the daughter of Matt and Amanda Ellenberger. Ellenberger graduated from Southmont High School and is currently a junior at Indiana State University studying finance.
"I am honored to work with so many driven interns like Brooke who carry a positive mindset and are eager to learn," Buchanan said. "It is refreshing to see many young Hoosiers who are actively choosing to inform themselves about state government and ways they can use this opportunity to advance their careers."
As a legal intern, Ellenberger conducts policy research, drafts and files Senate motions and resolutions, and generates the daily calendar.
"I am very excited by the opportunity to be a part of our General Assembly and learn about it firsthand," Ellenberger said. "I look forward to the connections I will make and the ways they will be beneficial in shaping my career path."
Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by April 29.
