Sen. Walker welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 25, 2025) – State Sen. Greg Walker (R-Columbus) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January and February.

  • Surya Adurthy, from Columbus, attends Southside Elementary School
  • Colin Amini, from Columbus, attends Columbus North High School
  • Aarav Dugad, from Columbus, attends Southside Elementary School
  • Abram Engelau, from Seymour, attends White Creek Lutheran School
  • Maddyn Fleeharty, from Columbus, attends Columbus Christian School
  • Tarikwa Linnemann, from Columbus, attends Columbus East High School
  • Kyla Magee, from Columbus, attends Northside Middle School
  • Brice Malherbe, from Franklin, attends Upward Way Academy
  • Aarush Salunkhe, from Columbus, attends Southside Elementary School
  • Anant Singh, from Columbus, attends Southside Elementary School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"It was wonderful to see so many students from Senate District 41 visiting the Statehouse," Walker said. "I am grateful to those students who have already come to visit the Indiana Senate, and I look forward to meeting more Hoosier students and answering their questions about state government."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
