Sen. Charbonneau welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April. 21, 2025) – State Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in March.

• Claire Blaney, from Valparaiso, attends Wheeler High School
• Stephen Cook, from Brookston, attends Frontier Elementary School
• Alena Day, from Winamac, attends Winamac Community Middle School
• Fredrick Gaetz, from Valparaiso, attends Wheeler High School
• Gabriel Gary, from Valparaiso, attends Culver Academies
• Sebastian Maxey, from Fishers, attends Fishers High School
• Kylie Thompson, from Winamac, attends Pioneer Jr./Sr. High School
• Keira Urbano, from DeMotte, attends Kankakee Valley High School
• Brooks Wilson, from Valparaiso, attends Valparaiso High School
• Wade Wilson, from Valparaiso, attends Immanuel Lutheran

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"Serving as a Senate page is an excellent way for students to learn more about Indiana's state legislature," Charbonneau said. "It is always a joy to have students from my district make the drive to the Statehouse to page for me. I encourage all students to consider paging for the Senate during the next legislative session."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
