Sen. Busch welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April 21, 2025) – State Sen. Justin Busch (R-Fort Wayne) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in March.

  • Cecelia Doherty, from Fort Wayne, attends Summit Middle School
  • Savannah Judy, from Fort Wayne, is a homeschooled student (pictured with State Sen. Kyle Walker (R-Lawrence))
  • Kinley Yoder, from Fort Wayne, is a homeschooled student (pictured with State Sen. Kyle Walker (R-Lawrence))

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I always enjoy meeting with students who have made the long trip to the Statehouse," Busch said. "Getting to see the legislature work firsthand is a unique opportunity that all Hoosier students should experience. There is no better way to learn about our state government and legislative process than to be a Senate page."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.

The 2025 Senate Page program has now ended. Parents interested in signing up their child for the 2026 program should visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Page-Program at the end of 2025 for more information. More information about the Senate Page Program is also available on this site.
