Sen. Busch welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2025) – State Sen. Justin Busch (R-Fort Wayne) welcomed Fort Wayne residents Mae Hardin, a Canterbury High School student, and Olivia Moreno, a Concordia Lutheran High School student, to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January and February.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"The Senate page program is a great way for our young Hoosier students to get a closer look at the legislative process," Busch said. "I hope to see more of our community's students take part in this great learning experience."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
