Sen. Brown welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2025) – State Sen. Liz Brown (R-Fort Wayne) welcomed the following Fort Wayne students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

  • Seraphina Cobos, attends Bishop Dwenger High School
  • Lucy Moll, attends Concordia Lutheran High School
  • Alyssa Purwanto, attends Concordia Lutheran High School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I always enjoy meeting with local students who have traveled all the way down to the Statehouse to learn about state government," Brown said. "It is so valuable for our Hoosier youth to learn about the legislative process and how they can become civically engaged in our community. There is no better way to do that than to be a Senate page, and I encourage local schools and parents to consider signing students up for this unique opportunity."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
