STATEHOUSE (March 31, 2025) – State Sen. Chris Garten (R-Charlestown) authored a resolution to thank the Indiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council for their service to Indiana and for providing young Hoosiers a firsthand lesson in civic engagement.
The resolution was presented today during the legislative session, and Garten spoke with members of ILYAC prior to the event.
"I am proud of these civically engaged young Hoosiers for advocating to make Indiana a better place to live and work," Garten said. "I am confident they will make great leaders in their communities across the state and look forward to seeing everything they accomplish."
Consisting of as many as 22 Hoosiers ages 16-22 from across Indiana, the council's purpose is to advise the General Assembly on topics related to Indiana youth through the advocacy of relevant legislation and policy.
