Doriot named to Senate committees

STATEHOUSE (Dec. 4, 2024) – State Sen. Blake Doriot (R-Goshen) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve on seven committees for the 124th Indiana General Assembly.

Doriot will serve as a member of the following Senate committees:

  • Agriculture;
  • Commerce and Technology;
  • Homeland Security and Transportation;
  • Natural Resources;
  • Pensions and Labor, ranking member;
  • Utilities; and
  • Veterans Affairs and The Military.

"Committees give lawmakers an opportunity to discuss legislation before it moves to the entire Senate for further consideration," Doriot said. "I look forward to working with my fellow committee members on legislation that will positively impact people throughout the state."

The 2025 legislative session ceremonially began with Organization Day on Nov. 19. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene for session Jan. 8.
