Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School graduate gains experience at Indiana Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 17, 2025) – Emery Todd is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2025 legislative session, said State Sen. Greg Walker (R- Columbus).

Todd, a resident of Columbus, is the son of Brandy and Troy Todd. Todd graduated from Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School and is a senior at Purdue University studying public health.

"Interns are very helpful to the Senate, playing a key part in helping during session," Walker said. "It is wonderful to see someone from my local community taking advantage of this unique opportunity, and I commend him on all his hard work this session."

As a legislative intern, Todd tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by April 29.
