STATEHOUSE (Dec. 4, 2024) – State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) has been reappointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve as chair of the Senate Committee on Public Policy for the 124th Indiana General Assembly.
Alting will also serve as a member of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Financial Institutions.
"I am honored to once again be asked to lead the Senate Committee on Public Policy during the upcoming legislative session," Alting said. "My prior experience serving as the committee's chair will be beneficial when considering important legislation for Hoosiers and businesses across the state."

The 2025 legislative session ceremonially began with Organization Day on Nov. 19. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene for session Jan. 8.
